Back in Cleveland!

As a professional classical musician, I never know really know where I'll be spending my summers. Although waiting for audition results is not for the faint-of-heart, I've really enjoyed getting to travel accross the US and to discover a new part of the country. As a young, developing music, I bask in the opportunity to travel, to meet other classical musicians, and to perform and be challenged in new ways.

I have recently returned from a nine week orchestral ventura in Breckenridge, Colorado. I was invited to perform with the National Repertory Orchestra based upon a national audition I took this past February, and I was very grateful for the opportunity to perform some of my favorite orchestral works on a very intensive schedule.

Highlights of my summer included performing Shostakovich's 10th Symphony with Andrew Litton, Salome's Dance of the Seven Veils & Wagner's Prelude to Tristan, and Strauss' Ein Heldenleben with Gerhardt Zimmermann and the Breckenridge Music Festival. I also had the pleasure of staying an extra week to sub with the BMF when the second oboist, Johanna Cox, left the festival temporarily to perform in NYC at the International Double Reed Society conference.
